4MFilemaker08 is the version to use to convert the Summer 2008 examination data to a 4Matrix2008 application.
An unzipped version is provided for schools that may have difficulty handling Zip files*.
In SIMS, you should choose the file called 'GCSE Examination results Summer 2008', or similar name.

4MFilemaker08.xlsm is the version to use to convert the Summer 2008 examination data to a 4Matrix2008 application that will run using Excel2007 from the new Microsoft Office version 12.
It is provided above in a folder in a zipped folder which must be unzipped after downloading*.
Note that it will put up a warning mesage at the end of the process when 4MFilemaker attempts to open your 4Matrix folder for you. Just click OK. When running, choose 'Options>Enable this content>OK'

Notes:
After downloading, you must take 4MFilemaker out of the Zip folder into a folder on your desktop before running it.
Check that security is set to 'Medium' (or 'Low' if you are confident) in Excel (Tools>Macros>Security>Medium)
Double Click 4MFilemaker to run it.
Choose to 'Enable Macros'.
*Zipped files can be unzipped using an application like WinZip or PKzip
